Dropped mine in the toilet
- I dropped my iPod touch in the toilet. I took it out--don't worry it was clean--took the case off. I put it on charge. Went to a white screen. Left it for 1 week. When I put the charger in it worked but really dark. After 1 hour started working. Only problem is it says no Wi-Fi. Hope it helped a bit.

iPod and apple juice
- Had my iPod in my bag and put my apple juice in as well and the bottle exploded. It was 2 hours before I realized. Left it out overnight then put in the rice. Hope it works.

Multiple consecutive beatings
- So the other day I forgot my iPod in my jeans pocket, and it went through the washing machine. I realized quickly that it was missing and checked the pants, only to find no iPod. My iPod fell out of the pocket and was in the washing machine for four consecutive runs before we finally found it. Currently the device turns on and charges normally, and even syncs to my iTunes, but the screen seems to be frozen sideways, and like line at the top of the list here, it now has strange blotches all over the screen. Awaiting further results while the just-found iPod dries further.

Slightly Damp
- Okay, I was wearing my my iPod nano on my wrist, like I always do, and washing my hands, like I always do. Well, I guess this time some water splashed onto the screen. Not enough that I would notice it, but enough that it did something. So now my screen is all...wacky. Parts of the screen are darker or lighter than others in an unnatural pattern. It still works fine and everything, but is now in a bag of rice, just to be safe. Any tips? Okay, but now I'm afraid the rice is doing more harm than good. When I took it out to check on something it had a greasy residue on top. Is this good or bad? HELP?!

Rain hates me
- Well, I had my iPad 2 and $100 dock out while I was suntanning with my best friend and it was getting late and her dad picked her up. I forgot the dock and iPad outside. It started POURING!!! I mean, one of those bad tropical storms. I was scared of getting electrocuted cuz it was still plugged in. I must have let it out there almost an hour! Brought it in, let it dry for 2 days, it works. Sound and everything! Now, I'm thinking something has to be wrong here. And I found out what yesterday. When I record videos it doesn't have sound. That freaking sucks! But, I am soooo lucky it isn't like gone. I'm on it right now typing this! Stupid freaking rain! Oh and the dock works perfectly too!

My ipod screen O_O
- So while I listen to music on my iPod nano, it turns of all a sudden. I turn it back on and the screen is black, bits of white. You can see the writing slightly, but it's so strange.

iPod in pool
- So I was walking by my pool and my cuz pushed me and plop, my iPod fell in. I grabbed it and everything worked. Then it shut off. I waited a few and it still wouldn't work. Then I saw something and am trying it so, WISH ME GOOD LUCK!

iPod ran through the washer
- After running our iPod through the washer, we immediately tried to use it. It would not turn on unless it was plugged in, and water was present behind the screen. We put it in a bowl of rice and tried it off and on for three days -- same result: it would shut off/not work unless it was plugged in. We thought the battery or something was wrong with it. I thought about sending to Apple but they wanted $110 just to diagnose. I put it back in a bowl of rice and didn't turn it on for two days--still same thing. I then plugged it in and put back in rice for another two days. To my delight, on the sixth day after the washer ride, it turned on and battery started taking a charge. It has been working good since then. Thanks to people who shared. There is hope for yours if you wash it...

iPod in glass of water
- I had my iPod in my hand and then I tripped and guess what? The iPod happened to land in the water. Everything works but the speaker.

iPods do not like soup
- So I dropped my iPod in soup a couple hours ago and I don't know if should put it in rice. The screen works but the headphone and charger jack don't work and neither does the speaker.

Getting Better
- Washed in a washing machine for about 5 minutes. Totally soaked, put it in rice, nothing for 2 days. Then plugged it in while still in the rice and it just popped on! Would not charge. That night put it on dock, figuring the warmth might help. Woke up and it was fully charged! Able to sync, speaker and headphones work fine. ONLY thing still not working is Wi-Fi. It simply says "No Wi-Fi" and the whole thing is greyed out. Will let you know if this fixes itself too!

Washing the dishes
- I was washing the dishes and watching the Lakers play during the free preview of gametime and next thing you know my iPod fell directly in the water for like 3 seconds. Then I automatically took it off, put it back on, and the screen just went dim and the touch screen stopped working. I tried sucking it out. Somebody please help me.

Dropped my iPod touch in bathtub?
- Okay...yeah I know, not smart, but I was listening to music in the tub (I'm weird, okay?) and all of the sudden, my iPod touch (BRAND NEW, 4th GENERATION, WHITE) fell into the bathtub. My hands were shaking so bad...EVERYTHING works, the Camera, Touching, Music (with headhones only), Apps, YouTube, Netflix. EVERYTHING BUT THE SPEAKERS! I was like, OMG OMG OMG OMG OMG GOOD LORD OMG OMG OMG HELP ME!! I have it in a ten pound bag of rice. Lets hope this works and pray! :( :( :(
