Readers Respond: How Did You Decide iPhone vs. iPod touch

Did you have to decide between the iPhone and iPod touch when you were making your purchase? Which did you end up buying? What factors swayed you to the device you bought and away from the one you didn't? Share Your Reasons

Camera

If they included a camera, then it would be the Touch, hands down. I carry a prepaid cell for emergencies, and can use the Touch's WiFi for Skype calls and internet. AT&T is too expensive. Just wish the Touch had a camera so that I could carry one less piece of equipment.

NO BILLS

I bought the ipod touch because their are no monthly bills you have to pay. The iPhone and ipod touch are basically the same things, except for the calling part. I already have a phone so i didnt need to buy the iphone. Plus the ipod touch is skinner.

wifi works

The data service is too much, and I have $10 cell service through family plan. Wifi does most everything I need, but I wished I could use the GPS from my car.

Ipod Phone vs Itouch

I don't want my entertainment combined with my phone. I can run down the batteries listening to music or playing games and it doesn't affect my ability to use my phone. One I consider necesarry (phone), the other is optional. I like haveing them separate.

touch or phone

The service bill is just too much for the phone. I bought the touch.
