Readers Respond: The Dumbest Thing Someone’s Done Using an iPod/iPhone

Responses: 1

By Sam Costello, About.com

When people concentrate too much on their iPods and iPhones, they don’t notice what’s going on around them. This can lead to trouble: walking into walls, getting hit by cars, falling down.

We’ve all seen examples of this behavior, but what’s the worst, dumbest thing you’ve seen anyone do while absorbed in their iPod or iPhone?

My iPod Accident

Once in my home town I was driving my motor scooter from my aunts house to my house. I was going 15MPH and I hade my MP3/iPod on ansd I hade it at maximum volume. I didn't see the street and objects infront of me. When I was 14 year old I was driving my motor scooter and I hade my MP3/iPod as usual. I wasent focus on the street then I hit a white car and I flip over and I hit myself so hard it took me at least 1 minute to realize I hit the bumper of the car. The person in the car got out of the car and lift me up and said, "Are you ok" I wasent ok my leg hurt so bad but I told him I was ok, because it was my fault I didn't pay attention to the street. So iPods are really dangerous. My advice to you guys is "You could have a iPod/MP3, just don't put the volume on maximum, not only you won't pay attention to the street or anything, but they will damage your ears as well. So yeah..........P.s. Please be careful.
