Among the many things that the iPhone and iPod touch’s home button can be set to do is, when it is clicked twice in rapid succession, go to the device’s iPod function and display music choices.
So it stands to reason that if you’re running Remote and using it to control music via AirPlay that a double click should also control music that way. Alas, it doesn’t.
The double click only calls up the iPod software that controls that music stored directly on the memory of the iPhone or iPod touch. Since music streamed via Remote and AirPlay is stored on another computer, double clicking the home button will call up the iPod controls, but not activate Remote or control music stored on another machine.
