You've already learned the basics of what a podcast is and where to find them (reminder: search engines and the iTunes Store). Now learn how to use them.
What do I do with Podcasts? When you find a podcast you're interested in, you'll click on it and will see a page like any other iTunes page, listing all of the episodes available in this podcast. You can do one or two things: listen to it from the Music Store or download it. Most podcasts are free.
You listen to it by double clicking an individual episode. Download the episode by clicking the "get episode" button.
Where did it go?
When you download a podcast, it goes into the podcasts section of your iTunes, listed in the left menu. When you click in there, you'll see the name of each podcast you've downloaded, with all the episodes of that podcast underneath it.
You can subscribe, too
If you want to get every new episode of a podcast when it comes out, just highlight the name of the podcast you want to subscribe to and then click the "subscribe" button at the bottom of the window. Now you'll get each new episode, automatically downloaded to you, as they're released!
Getting them to your iPod
If you have podcasts in your iTunes, they'll be added to your iPod when you next sync it to your computer.
Deleting podcasts
If you don't want to save a podcast, just select the episode to delete and delete it like any other song. Remember, though, this will delete it from your iPod, too, at your next sync.
Unsubscribing
Unsubscribing is pretty easy - just select the name of the podcast and click the "unsubscribe" button at the bottom of the iTunes window.
