If you're running a 64-bit version of Windows 7 or Windows Vista, the traditional, 32-bit iTunes software won't work for you. You need to download the 64-bit version. Here are links to some of the recent 64-bit versions of iTunes, sorted by operating system compatibility.

iTunes Compatible with 64-bit Editions of Windows XP (SP2)

ITunes doesn't support the 64-bit edition of Windows XP Pro. As a result, features--including burning CDs/DVDs--may not work.
There is no 64-bit version of iTunes for the Mac yet (Feb. 2011), despite Mac OS X's support for 64-bit computing.
