iPod Comparisons and Reviews

A selection of information on the currently available iPod models, including comparisons and reviews.
Third Generation Apple iPod touch Reviews
In many respects, the third generation iPod touch is very similar to the second-generation model. The key differences between the two are the faster performance and greater capacity sported by the third-generation model.
5th Generation Apple iPod Nano Review
Looking at it head on, the 5th generation iPod nano looks nearly identical to its 4th generation predecessor, but flip it over and, when you see the lens of a camera and a pinhole mic, you start to get a sense that this is a different iPod indeed.
3rd Generation Apple iPod Shuffle Review
Each generation of the iPod Shuffle seems to require a radical reinvention of the device. The third-generation model, released in March 2009, is back to the vertical rectangle, but is tiny, lacks any buttons to control the device, and adds a new, controversial feature.
2nd Generation iPod touch Reviews
The iPod touch has been referred to as an iPhone without the phone because it’s just that: it offers everything that the iPhone does, except for the ability to make calls. That’s carried through in the 2nd-generation iPod touch – it offers the same great features as its predecessor and includes some new features to boot.
4th Generation iPod nano Reviews
The 4th-generation iPod nano returns the nano to its roots – it’s once again a tall, narrow iPod. The 3rd-generation model was a radical departure for the nano line, with its squat size and square screen, but the 4th-generation model is tall, with a rectangular screen and some exciting new features.
iPod nano 3rd Generation Review
When Apple releases new iPod models, sometimes all they change is how much storage the model offers. Other times, all they change is everything. With the third-generation iPod nano, Apple changed everything and it’s a welcome change.
iPod Classic Reviews
The iPod Classic is the name Apple has given to the iPod in its traditional shape and style and uses that name to distinguish it from the iPod touch. The chief differences between the iPod Classic and earlier iPod models are its capacity – 80GB and 160GB – its smaller shape, and its new software.
iPod Touch Review
The iPod touch is widely referred to as the iPhone without the phone. That’s because the ipod touch has almost all of the iPhone’s features except for the connection to AT&T’s EDGE network.
Video iPod Review
A review of the video iPod, the first iPod model able to play TV shows and videos.
iPod nano Review
A review of Apple's mid-line, affordable iPod model, the nano.
iPod Shuffle Review
The iPod Shuffle is unlike any other iPod. It doesn’t have a screen, a clickwheel, or the ability to play anything other than music. And that’s OK. The iPod Shuffle is a different kind of iPod for a different kind of user.
Clickwheel iPod Review
A review of the clickwheel iPod, an older iPod model that updated the iPod interface and ease of use.
