What Songs Can Be Made into Ringtones Using iTunes?
Answer: Only songs you have purchased from the iTunes Store can be made into ringtones using iTunes' built-in ringtone editor. Even if you own the CD a song is from, iTunes won't make it into a ringtone. Not all purchased music is eligible at launch, but over time, more songs will be available for conversion into ringtones.
