Guide Review - Speck GeoMetric iPhone 4 Case Review

The Speck GeoMetric Case for iPhone 4 is very similar to its sibling the PixelSkin HD. In fact, I'd wager that the only differences between the cases is the styling of their backs. As a result, the GeoMetric Case has the same strengths and weaknesses as the PixelSkin HD. The strengths outweigh the weaknesses, though; this is a good case.

The strengths include: that the case protects the back and sides of the case, while still providing full access to the iPhone 4's buttons and ports; that the case covers the left-side antenna that's the location of the notorious iPhone 4 antenna problems, thus preventing the problems; that it's lightweight and sold at a good price; that the angular back doesn't make the case any harder to hold.

The drawbacks include: its fairly basic styling - the back of the GeoMetric case sports uneven panels and ridges, some matte, some shiny, to give it some visual appeal, which mostly succeeds; its potential lack of protection from long drops; that screen protection requires an additional purchase.

Making the choice between the GeoMetric Case and the PixelSkin HD (and its low-res relative, the PixelSkin) probably won't have anything do to with features. Instead, it will come down to which case's style you prefer.
