But, it turns out, those rumors were wrong. The iPad launch is not delayed.
As Apple announced on March 5, the WiFi-only iPad will launch in the U.S. on April 3 (the WiFi/3G version will launch in late April).
The one area that some could argue that the iPad launch is delayed is its international introduction. During the iPad’s unveiling, Apple seemed to indicate that the WiFi-only iPad would launch simultaneously worldwide (on what turned out to be April 3). In the March 5 announcement, though, Apple said the iPad would debut in a number of European and Asian countries in late April. (There have also been some delays in the release of iPad accessories.)
Ultimately, though, this is another example of how you can’t trust rumors: despite what they said, the iPad launch is not delayed.
