The standard iPod warranty includes:
- One year of hardware repairs
- 90 days of telephone support (includes one phone call; additional calls require a fee)
The iPod warranty doesn't cover batteries, cosmetic damage, or if the iPod case has been opened.
The iPod warranty can be extended to include full hardware and phone support coverage for two years with an AppleCare protection plan extended warranty.
AppleCare can be added to a product's warranty at any time before the original warranty expires.
