While the Case Logic Pop Flower Case for the iPod Classic provides pretty good protection for the iPod, those who are most drawn to it are likely to be primarily attracted to its design.
The case is trim brown suede case with colorful stitching and a small fabric flower affixed to the front. The case has a flip-up style flap that covers the screen and clickwheel and is secured in place with a magnet. With that profile, it certainly stands out from other iPod Classic cases on the market, but how does it perform?
Pretty well, in turns out, though not perfectly.
Sliding the iPod Classic into and out of the case is smooth and easy. The case provides a clear plastic overlay to protect the screen, though there’s no clickwheel protection when the flap is open. When the flap is closed, of course, everything on the face of the iPod Classic is protected.
With the flap closed, the headphone jack and dock connector are accessible, but the hold switch is covered. It’s only accessible when the flap is open.
While the protection afforded by the Case Logic Pop Flower Case for the iPod Classic isn’t the greatest I’ve ever seen, it’s acceptable. And, I’d wager that those interested in this case aren’t going to be worrying about the protection of their iPod as much as how good it looks in the case. And, depending on your taste, I’d say it looks pretty good.
