The DLO VideoShell Special Edition will call to mind immediately, for those that have seen it, the Belkin Clear Acrylic and Brushed Metal Case for the iPod video. Not only does the DLO case look like Belkin’s, it offers the same features and is just as a good product.
The DLO VideoShell is a hard plastic iPod Video case that accommodates all fifth generation iPod models – 30GB, 60GB, and 80GB. It protects the screen and Clickwheel, leaves openings for the headphone jack, hold button, and dock connector, allowing the iPod to be docked while in the case.
It also sports an arm on the back of the case that allows users to prop up the iPod Video on a flat surface to make watching video on the screen easier. It’s a nice touch and the arm is sturdy and stable.
The special edition of the case has removable faceplates that come in five colors: silver, green, blue, purple, and red. The case is sold in packs that have two different color faceplates each. The faceplates are designed to look like stylish brushed metal.
Though it can be a little hard to get the iPod Video out of the DLO VideoShell once its in (be sure to have a coin handy to pry the case open), the VideoShell offers good protection, a variety of styles, a smart feature, and a nice price to iPod Video owners.
