With a tight economy, many people are watching the bottom line. One way to take the sting out of the belt tightening is with music or a nice new gadget, like an iPod. But that doesn’t mean you don’t want to watch your spending. With that in mind, here are some ways to get iPods under $100.
Buy a Shuffle
You can get a brand new, state-of-the-art iPod for under $100 dollars with the iPod Shuffle. The Shuffle doesn’t have a screen or support the App Store, but it gives you the iPod experience in a 2GB model for US$49. On a budget or not, that’s a pretty good price.
Unfortunately, the Shuffle is basically you’re only option for getting a new iPod for under $100. But, you may be able to find lightly used ones for that price if you’ll willing not to have the latest and greatest models.
If so, check out the refurbished iPods section of Apple’s online store. You can always buy via eBay or iPod trade-in programs, too. When using eBay or Craigslist, though, buyer beware. Make sure you know what you’re getting and are dealing with reputable sellers, otherwise you may end up without your money and without an iPod.
iPods on Sale Are Rare
Unlike other consumer products, iPods rarely go on sale, so don’t wait for a sale hoping to score a deal. Apple will mark down iPods a bit around the holidays, but otherwise, iPods prices tend to stay pretty level.
