Deciding what iPad to buy can be tough. With eight different choices for the standard iPad, plus six versions of the iPad mini, it can be hard to quickly understand what's available and what they cost. The chart below offers a quick reference of iPad models and prices for you to compare.
There are three main features to look at when trying to understand the different models and prices: size, networking, and storage.
- Size - There are two types of iPad: the original, full-size style iPad with the 9.7-inch screen and the iPad mini, with a 7-inch screen.
- Networking - All iPad models offer Wi-Fi for networking, but another there are also versions of both the iPad and iPad mini with offer 4G LTE wireless data from AT&T, Sprint, and Verizon. Data plans are post-paid so, unlike the iPhone, there is no contract.
- Storage - Both the iPad and iPad mini offer 16GB, 32GB or 64GB of storage. The traditional iPad also has a 128GB storage option.
