The standard iPhone warranty includes:
- One year of hardware repairs
- 90 days of telephone support (up to one phone call; additional calls require a fee)
The warranty does not cover batteries, cosmetic and water damage, changes made to the phone by the user, or if the phone has been opened.
The warranty can be extended to include full hardware and phone support coverage for two years by purchase an AppleCare protection plan extended warranty.
AppleCare can be added to a product's warranty at any time before the original warranty expires.
