Animals for Tots
Developer: AppAnnex LLC
Price: $0.99
What's life for a toddler without learning about barnyard animals? Animals for Tots teaches kids about 20 different animals (including some that go beyond the farm and into the woods), their names, and their noises. The animals also seem to come to life thanks to animations. With a microphone, you can even record your own voice saying the name of the animals so your toddler can hear you speak the words.

This app version of Mo Willems' hit series about stopping a pigeon from doing all kinds of tasks allows kids not just to read stories about the pigeon, but actually lets them create their own.
