I'm proud to announce that my first book, My iPad for Kids, is now available in print and as an ebook.
The book helps kids ages 8-12 learn how to use the iPad for fun, as well as for learning and schoolwork. In its 350-plus pages, My iPad for Kids includes step-by-step instructions on how to set up and use the iPad. Its clear illustrations help kids learn exactly what to do when it comes to iPad basics like syncing and using Safari, intermediate topics like getting apps and using FaceTime, and some advanced lessons, too.
Parents who have gotten iPads for their kids, or are considering it, will find a lot to like. All chapters that include online features--such as email, chat, and texting--include tips for how kids can stay safe online. The book also helps kids use their iPads for learning and for school, thanks to four chapters of grade-specific app recommendations.
Whether the kids in your life have had iPads for years or are just starting to use Apple's hit tablet, they'll learn useful new skills.
My iPad for Kids is available from major booksellers like Amazon, Barnes & Noble, and iTunes, along with smaller and/or independent bookstores. If your favorite bookstore doesn't have it on the shelf, ask them to order it.
If you read the book (and if so, thank you!), please feel free to email me your thoughts. I plan to use reader feedback to improve the book in future editions.
