- Apple is holding a media event Wed. March 7 to introduce the next iPad. I won't be covering the announcement unless there's something in it related to the iPhone and iPod, but check Dan Nations' site for full coverage of the announcement.
- Speaking of related things that may get announced next week, Apple has reportedly stopped shipments of the Apple TV in anticipation of a new model that works with the iPad 3 being unveiled on March 7.
- Not a lot of iPhone news these days (presumably Apple's focused on the new iPad first, and then the new iPhone rumors will heat up), but here are a few interesting notes:
- Mercedes is adding new in-car computing support for the iPhone and iPod touch, including support for Siri.
- AT&T is developing a plan that would let app developers subsidize users' data use.
- Sprint TV, an app that lets Sprint customers watch TV on their mobile phones, has arrived for iPhone. Plans range from free to US$9.99/month.
- A California man whose "unlimited" data plan was limited by AT&T has successfully sued the carrier and won $850. 9to5Mac has some suggestions on how you, too, can do this.
- Apple has added a section dedicated to Comics and Graphic Novels to the iBookstore and packed it with all kinds of good material. A nice treat for comics fans.
