- Apple is reportedly cracking down on services that offer pirated iOS apps. Good for them. If you're pirating US$0.99 apps (or even $14.99 apps or whatever), you deserve what you get. As I've noted before, prices for apps are very fair and each time someone pirates an app, they're not only taking money out of the developer's pocket, they making it that much more likely that the developer will have to stop working on their app because they can't afford to continue.
- Further Bigfoot-esque sightings of the new "iTV": Jony Ive reportedly has a 50-inch model up and running in his studio at Apple.
- Apple is holding an event in New York later this month. No major consumer product announcements are expected. Rather, it's expected to focus on publishing, iBooks, and textbooks.
- This is a good reminder: you don't need to manage apps via multitasking in the iOS as part of regular phone maintenance.
