Talk about having a good day! Apple announced today that the iPhone 4S sold 1 million units as pre-orders in just the first 24 hours it was available. The previous record, held for by iPhone 4, was 600,000 units.
Those sales represent a sell out; iPhone 4S pre-orders on Apple's site are now listed as shipping in 1-2 weeks.
The iPhone 4S goes on sale this Friday in the U.S. and a number of other major countries. I'll have full coverage of the launch on Friday, over the weekend, and in coming weeks.
