Today, on Valentine's Day, the world of the iOS has gifts, hints of future gifts, and a failure to offer the loved, lovelorn, and, the hopeful:
A Nice Gift: Are you an AT&T iPhone user? Ma Bell's got 1,000 free minutes for you for simply the price of one text message. Now that's some good loving. I've already taken advantage of the offer.
Hints of Nice Gifts to Come: The Wall Street Journal has some interesting Apple rumors, including: a smaller, lighter, cheaper iPhone and cloud-based storage of media/an online version of iTunes. Both could hit this summer.
A Bad Gift Indeed: Hope you weren't expecting a big bouquet from Verizon because, in addition to not doing voice and data simultaneously on its iPhone, 9 to 5 Mac has confirmed that it also doesn't support more than 3 people on conference calls or switching between calls. Were Verizon my valentine, we'd be breaking up today. As it is, I don't think we'll be getting together until these problems are solved.
