Talk of Apple and Verizon getting together on the iPhone is heating up, with a BusinessWeek story reporting that not only is the iPhone on the table, but so too is a new device, a "media tablet."
According to the report, the deal, if it happens, could include the release of an "iPhone lite" and "a media pad that would let users listen to music, view photos, and watch high-definition videos." Reportedly prototypes of both devices are already exist and one or both could be introduced as soon as this summer.
The more detail about these possibilities that gets released, the more interested I am - especially since it sounds like the media tablet might target the Kindle (my current object of techno-lust; I'm holding off for the 3rd generation model, though) as an e-book reader. I'm still curious, though, folks: how does the prospect of Apple devices on the Verizon network strike you?
