Apple Sells 10M iPods, 1.7M iPhones in Q2
Apple sold 10,644,000 iPods and 1,703,000 iPhones in the second fiscal quarter of 2008, the company said this week.
As has been forecast for a while, the iPod sales figure represents almost flat sales of the device. The iPod controls about 73% of the digital music player market.
With sales of the iPhone in this quarter, Apple has sold over 5 million total iPhones to date. The company's goal is to sell 10 million by the end of 2008.
Apple also said that the iPhone 2.0 software will be coming in "late June.
