iPhone Price Cuts Spurs Sales, More Coming?

The recently announced price cuts on the 8GB iPhone in the UK have boosted sales by as much as 100% in some locations. The sale is temporary - thought by some to be clearing out inventory before the release of the new iPhone model - and is clearly having the intended effect.

Following up on this success, Apple and Orange are reportedly in talks for a similar price cut in France.
