iTunes Movie Rentals Still Miss Mark

When he unveiled the iTunes Movie Rental service, Steve Jobs promised 1,000 rental titles available by the end of February, with 100 HD rentals available in roughly the same time frame. It had been previously noted that Apple missed that mark by a wide margin. A new tally by iLounge shows that while Apple has hit its HD rental mark, it's still far below the 1,000-title mark: iTunes offers just 604 titles right now. What's the hold up, Apple?
