AT&T: 3G iPhone Coming in 2008
Thursday November 29, 2007
This probably comes as no surprise to anyone who's thought much about it, but a 3G version of the iPhone is coming our way in 2008, according to the CEO of AT&T. 3G is a cellphone data transfer standard that is significantly faster that the EDGE network used in current iPhones. AT&T's CEO, Randall Stephenson, said we'd be getting 3G iPhones in 2008 - though he didn't say when. Apple announces new products at the January MacWorld event. That might be too soon for the announcement, but it bears watching.
