iPhone plans can drop data, keep phone

Not sure why you'd want to do this, but as Engadget points out, AT&T is now letting iPhone users drop the unlimited data from their iPhone plans. This would remove web, email, and visual voicemail from your iPhone leaving you with mostly just a phone. Saves $240/year, but doesn't seem worth it to me.

If you are near Wifi more often than not, which is the case for many these days, it only affects Visual Voicemail.
