Apple Sells 10.2M iPods, 1.1M iPhones in Q4
Tuesday October 23, 2007
The iPod/iPhone juggernaut continues its march. Apple, in its quarterly earnings call last night, announced that in the fourth fiscal quarter of 2007, which ended on Sept. 29, it sold 10.2 million iPods and 1.119 million iPhones. That brings the total number of iPods sold to over 120 million and the total number of iPhones sold to 1.38 million. Steve Jobs had previously stated that Apple wanted to sell 1 million iPhones in 2007, with a goal of selling 10 million by the end of 2008. Clearly the company is ahead of that pace and is poised to jump even farther ahead during the holiday shopping season.
