Hacked iPhones Resurrected After 1.1.1 Firmware Update

Gizmodo has the news that Apple's iPhone firmware update 1.1.1 - which was supposed to disable iPhones that had been hacked to work with other carriers and keep them from being repaired - has been side-stepped. Though Apple clearly wants to lock the iPhone down to work only on AT&T's network, they're having trouble keeping the phone that way. A community of determined hackers keep finding ways around the locks.
