iTunes 7.4 Out, No Ringtones Yet

Thursday September 6, 2007
Apple has released iTunes 7.4, the new version of the software that will enable ringtone creation and purchase. The software is available through Apple's Software Update tool or the company's website. Those looking forward to the ringtone feature, though, will need to wait - it's not live yet. You can get a preview of it, though, by searching at the iTunes Store for music, right clicking on the bar that contains the Name, Time, Artist, Album, and Price headings and selecting Ringtone. This will add the Ringtone column to the iTunes Store, getting you ready for when the feature goes live.
