Custom Ringtones Coming to iPhone?
IPhone users may soon be getting a native, easy way to add custom ringtones made from songs to their iPhones, according to a report in the New York Post. At the Sept. 5 iPod event, Apple is set to introduce ringtones as an item for sale at the iTunes Store, according to the report. Users might even be able to buy and song and ringtone of the song at the same time for a discounted price. Users may even be able to choose any part of the song to turn into a ringtone.
In the meantime, long-standing Mac software developer Ambrosia has released a program called iToner that lets users make their own ringtones out of songs they already have.
