Native Games Coming to iPhone?

Thursday August 30, 2007
Mobile games developer PopCap Games may be bringing some of its titles to the iPhone as native programs. PopCap is perhaps best known for its "Bejeweled" game, which it released as a web game for the iPhone in early August. The success of that web game has spurred PopCap's interest in developing native iPhone games that can be installed on the device, rather than played through the web browser, according to a Reuters article. Apple has not yet opened the iPhone to native games, but interest is growing from other games developers, including industry titan EA.
