AppleTV Gains Support for USB Hard Drives
Monday July 30, 2007
The iPhone may have been the big topic in the world of Apple over the past month or so, but AppleTV enthusiasts haven't forgotten their favorite device. They've been hard at work on some new hacks. The latest one to be released in a big one: the AppleTV now supports external USB hard drives. The AppleTV comes in two models - 40 GB and 160 GB - which offer some storage, but perhaps not enough for some large media collections. Now, anyone with a big media collection and a USB hard drive doesn't have to pick and choose what content to store on the AppleTV. Pretty neat.
