iPhone Battery Replacement to Run $86

Tuesday July 3, 2007
One of the major concerns about the iPhone has been that its battery is not replaceable, meaning that if the battery dies, you want be able to replace it yourself. Apple provided more information yesterday about what it will be doing to address that. IPhone battery replacements are going to run $79, plus $6.95 shipping and handling, for a total of $85.95. Apple will also reportedly be offering its extended warranty - Apple Care for iPhone - this summer. Customers whose battery runs to below 50% capacity before Apple Care runs out will be able to get their battery replaced for free.
