AppleTV: New Model, YouTube Deal
Thursday May 31, 2007
The AppleTV is getting a bigger brother. Steve Jobs announced in his talk at the D: All Things Digital conference yesterday that Apple would start shipping an AppleTV with a 160GB hard drive today. The current AppleTV has a 40GB hard drive. He also announced a deal with YouTube that will give the AppleTV the ability to grab YouTube content. That feature will be implemented through a free software update in June. (A pair of developers had previously announced a YouTube plug-in for AppleTV about a week ago.)
