iPhone Round-up: Google Apps, Second-Generation Coming?
Wednesday May 30, 2007
A couple of interesting iPhone bitys have sprung up over the last couple of days. Even when most of the US is on vacation and slaving over hot barbecues, the iPhone news keeps a'rolling!
The biggest news, because it hints at more likely scenarios, came out of an interview with Glenn Lurie, AT&T's president of national distribution and the company's iPhone lead, conducted by Brier Dudley of the Seattle Times.
That interview revealed that:
- Google applications are coming for the iPhone. (This could mean just better Google Maps integration, or it could extend as far as Google's online word processor and spreadsheet, which would be terrific.)
- Unlimited data plans are going to be strong recommendations (which only seems reasonable)
