Apple Says: Don't Buy Audiobooks - For Now

Tuesday May 29, 2007
A number of audiobooks for sale at the iTunes Store are apparently defective and won't play properly with iPods, according to a report at iLounge that includes confirmation from Apple. The audiobooks, which include new and hit titles like "Four-Hour Work Week" by Tim Ferriss and "The Assault on Reason" by Al Gore, play fine in iTunes but break on the iPod. Apple is aware of the problem and recommending that users not buy audiobooks until the problem is solved, according to iLounge. The company is providing credits to customers who bought the defective audiobooks.
