Grab Album Art, Lyrics with GimmieSomeTune

Sunday April 15, 2007

As you probably know, iTunes has a built-in function that can find, download, and add album art to your iTunes library. But it doesn't always grab all covers and it sure doesn't download lyrics - one of the other major, missing components of the transition to digital music. So, what does an iTunes lover who wants cover art and lyrics say?

How about GimmieSomeTune?

GimmieSomeTune is a free Mac OS program that can download cover art from multiple Amazon stores, including a number of international ones (sometimes a better source than iTunes), as well as add lyrics for your songs. And did I mention it's free?

If you're looking for a program to add these things to your iTunes library, it's worth a look. I only just started using it in the last few days, and haven't taken it through too many paces yet, but it looks solid.

Download GimmieSomeTune.

The good folks at TUAW pointed me to this one originally.
