Apple TV Hacked to Add RSS, Video Games

Tuesday April 10, 2007
The Apple TV hacks are still coming fast and furious, about three weeks since the Apple TV started shipping. Two of the more interesting hacks have been revealed in the last few days: the ability to run RSS feeds on the set-top box and emulation of NES, SNES, Sega Genesis, and N64 video game consoles. With additions like this, the Apple TV is quickly moving beyond the realm of cool extra to center-of-home-entertainment prominence. The question is, will Apple embrace these new expansions or try to shut them down? (Thanks to Engadget for this one.)
