Dvorak: Apple Should Cancel iPhone
John Dvorak is a longtime technology columnist who previously worked for PC Magazine and now writes for MarketWatch.com. He's out with an awfully weird pronouncement: Apple should cancel the iPhone before it's released.
His reasons include:
- It's coming into a crowded market
- That the iPod was a success primarily because Apple advertised it well
- Phones change too quickly
- Phone margins are too low
- The phone market is too competitive
Weird. Just weird. While the lone voice in the wilderness thing can sometimes be appealing (and right), this is just odd and doesn't allow for any conclusions to be wrong.
Readers, what do you think? Should Apple cancel the iPhone?
